Out with the Old, In with the New: BrandWell's 2025 Rebrand
Two years ago, I began to consider a rebrand for my business. At the time, BrandWell was four and had come a long way from where it was when I started. Would you believe me if I told you that on day one of BrandWell, I didn't have a target audience, I didn't have strong brand positioning, and I certainly didn't have the all-female team that I have today?
What most people forget is that everybody has a day one. Here are the logos we created for BrandWell’s day one:
Our seamless brand identity suddenly wasn’t so seamless.
After four years of learning who I served, how I served them, and what set me apart from every other design agency, I began to notice a crack in the seamless brand identity I was trying to build. But at the time, I had just welcomed my second daughter into the world, and the thought of rebranding my branding agency (where I put my logo on quite literally everything) was more than my postpartum, foggy mom-brain could handle. Not to mention, the wheels for my sister company, The Branding Business School, were already in motion, and I made a promise to my family not to take on more than onemajor project each year.
So, I put the rebrand on hold. Maybe you can relate!
But 2024 brought with it a fresh wind. My managers began running daily operations, my design team took the utmost care of our clients, and I got to start dreaming again. (My favorite part of being CEO.)
After six years of branding nearly a thousand small businesses, it was finally our turn. And the results are everything!
It was important to me that the rebrand felt familiar. After all, I'm still the same girl with the same dream I had in 2018. These designs still reflect who we are—who I am—but they've become more mature...more sophisticated. I'm giddy about our new brand and website, and I hope that you are, too! After all, a brand is for the customers, not the company.
I feel a sense of pride, relief, and excitement as we launch this new brand in 2025. I'm proud to have a visual identity that reflects who we are today and where we're headed in the years to come. I'm relieved that I won’t need to rebrand for at least another five to ten years. And I’m excited about how this brand will attract more of the clients we love to work with.
